Travel Advice & Immunisations
Our Practice Nurses offer a comprehensive travel advice service, offering guidance about travel and advice about which immunisations are required/recommended for the places you plan to visit. Please make an appointment with the receptionist, asking for one of our pre-travel questionnaires, and at the same time, check how much you are likely to be charged as the NHS provides some, but not all, vaccinations for people travelling abroad.
You should always book the appointment between 4 and 8 weeks in advance, wherever possible.
Travel Vaccination fees
The vaccines listed below are not funded by the NHS for travel abroad, therefore we have to make the following charges:
|Hepatitis B - full course
|Hepatitis B booster
|Rabies - full course
|Japanese B Encephalitis
Our fees include the cost of the drug including carriage and VAT, a private prescription, practice nurse time and a small administration charge. Payment is required in advance of administration – cheques should be made payable to The Sidings Medical Practice.
Please state whether you have had the following immunisations, along with the date given.
Further info: certain anti-malarial tablets can, in a small percentage of people, exacerbate epilepsy or Psychiatric illness.
