What is happening at The Sidings Medical Practice?

Following an extensive procurement process, Omnes Healthcare has been awarded a five-year contract to run The Sidings Medical Practice, with effect from 1st September 2022.

Who ran the practice up to Omnes Healthcare taking on the contract?

The practice has been run up until now under a caretaking contract by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS).

What will the contract award mean for me as a patient?  Will I still be able to access the same services?

For the 17,000 patients registered at The Sidings Medical Practice it should be a case of business as usual, with no change to the practice’s opening hours or the GP services on offer.

Do I need to re-register at the practice?

No, you do not need to re-register at the practice.  You will continue to be able to access the practice and the services it offers in just the same way.

Who are Omnes Healthcare?

Omnes Healthcare have been providing high quality primary care services to GP practices in London and the South East for over ten years, as well as other relevant services.

Why have you changed provider/who runs The Sidings Medical Practice?

LCHS came to the end of their contract to run the practice and decided not to bid for the new contract.  After running an extensive procurement process, Omnes Healthcare were successful.

How long will Omnes Healthcare run The Sidings Medical Practice?

Omnes Healthcare has been awarded a five-year contract to run The Sidings Medical Practice, with effect from 1st September 2022, with the option to extend for a further five years.

I don’t remember hearing about this before or being asked for my view?

NHS Lincolnshire ICB ran a consultation with patients registered at The Sidings Medical Practice, between 9th August 2021 – 10th October 2021.  As part of this it ran three patient engagement events (11th, 16th and 23rd September) to give patients the opportunity to share their thoughts and all of the responses received were directly fed into the overall process.

Will I notice any changes to how The Sidings Medical Practice is run or the services I can access?

No, you shouldn’t notice any changes to how the practice is run and the services you can access will be just the same as before.

What if I’m unhappy with the outcome and/or I want to move practice?

Since you will continue to be able to access the practice and the services it offers in just the same way, we hope patients will choose to stay with The Sidings Medical Practice.  However, if you want to move practices, you can do so.

Have you already communicated this change to patients?

Yes, Omnes Healthcare have written to all patients registered at The Sidings Medical Practice w/c 22nd August.  A briefing will also be shared with local stakeholders, such as other GP practices, NHS organisations, district and parish councils, and a press release will be issued to local media to confirm the change of provider.
